Home Alone

There comes a time in every business where you must hire your first employee. While this can be an exciting time for some, for a person working from home this is exciting AND challenging.
I remember when I hired my first personal assistant. I was working from home and had only hired occassional childcare help, and was unprepared for the challenges I would face sharing my home with a colleague.
Some tips from the trenches:
- Make living/work spaces well defined
- Pay on time, every time
- Have set hours
- Have your assistant answer your phone using appropriate business phone etiquette
- Observe more rigid personal space rules, being you are so very isolated
