Working at home can be exciting until you realize that you are alone with no co-workers to gossip or argue among. Not that you would miss that angle of working in the corporate world, but having someone to understand where you are and your general concerns from day to day is important.
You can join business networks in your community and specific industry groups if available, but I would recommend running an advertisement in your local paper and possibly starting a ‘home business owners network’.
Within this network you could organize local monthly meetings and offer trainings and general discussions on home business issues and concerns. Getting connected with like-minded people will help you stay focused as well as give you a line of back-up when things aren’t running smoothly.
