Getting out of town as a business owner can be an impossible task. Working from home sometimes makes you feel as though you are really a prisoner in your own home.
One way to combat this issue is to create a mobile office that will allow you to work from any location. Here are few tips to help you get your mobile home business in operation:
- Buy a laptop. Be sure it has a wireless card so you can connect to wi-fi networks.
- Get voicemail forwarding. Getting a voicemail service that can forward to your cell phone is a great way of staying mobile.
- Digitize your data. Stop using paper files if at all possible. Scan important documents or use a small z-folder for traveling.
- Hire an assistant. Get someone who can take calls and answer questions for you in your absence.
Whatever you do, get away. Don’t allow you home business to strap you to your house forever. Get away and enjoy some time this summer!
