Planning To Remember

"It never fails, every time I get in a hurry it’s off to an appointment and then I realize I have forgotten an important document or book sitting on my desk that I need for this meeting."

"With no time to return and retrieve the item, I have to work my way through the meeting unprepared and frustrated, hoping that I don’t forget something else."

Does this sound familiar?  If it does, then you could use a little help in the organization of your day.  Staying focused is a vital part of any home business.  Here a few suggestions to help you remember important to-do’s:

  • Use a date book or calendar.  Digital or paper, these things still work.  They’ve been used for 20,000 years and are still effective today.
  • Email reminders of important dates and information are easy ways to be on top of your schedule.
  • Use sticky notes to put on your mirror or your monitor.
  • Fold post it notes in half, punch a hole in one end and place them on your keychain.
  • Put items that you need to take with you with your keys or wallet.
  • Place items you need to take with you in the doorway of your house or go ahead and place them in the car.

Whatever it takes to get your day planned and processed, take steps to make it a priority.  Having a home based business is stress enough.
