While there are many calendars that will allow you the basic functionality of the Google calendar, when managing multiple roles, the Google calendar is very helpful.

As a work at home business owner and parent, I juggle many roles, as I’m sure you do as well.  My Google calendar is set up to reflect these multiple roles. 

I’ve created a calendar for my business appointments, my work to dos, my family appointments and my volunteer roles.  Each is color coded, automatically, by the Google calendar and I share the family calendars (one for each child) with the child and with my wife.
