One of the biggest challenges faced by those who work from home is time management. Many times, distractions, odd hours, and a host of other things interrupt your work time. This means that it is especially important to manage what time you do have to effectively build your home business.

Here are some things you can do to more effectively manage your home business time:

  • Set a specific "work time" that is virtually sacrosanct, even if the sacrosanct time only amounts to a couple hours a day.
  • Have two email accounts: business and personal. Do not check the personal email account until you are done with your work.
  • Avoid long telephone conversations. Don’t use work time to gossip. Use it to do work.
  • Bookmark useful Web sites to save time looking for them while working.
