Watching Out for “Opportunities”
August 22nd, 2006 by admin
Whether you are looking for a home-based job in telemarketing or in online marketing, one of the things to watch out for is the home business "opportunity." Notices for these types of "job opportunities" are usually cleverly worded so it appears that you are answering an actual job ad. Sometimes these appear on reputable job boards because of the wording of the ad. But don’t be fooled. When you contact for the job and you receive a return message encouraging you to sign up for a work from home "opportunity" you are probably being scammed.
Watch out for these tip-offs:
- You have to pay to get started in the program
- What you are paying for is "information on starting a home business"
- The work is described as "easy"
- You are promised that by following a "system" that you will make a lot of money fast
The fact of the matter is that most work at home jobs require some hard work and time. If someone promises you something different, it is probably a scam.
