I recently had a heated debate while I was talking with a friend about various types of jobs. The trouble started when I was discussing a work from home job and was overheard by two other men. They were arguing that a home-based job does not have any security.

After much debating over this subject, there was one thing that we did agree on. That we all have a different opinion on what the definition is of a “secure job”. Is your secure job a job in which you work morning to night day after day, with little rest? Does your secure job leave you with no time for yourself, your family and your friends? Is your grey hair a reminder of the days spent, chasing money, trying to be richer, with very little return?

If your job leaves you unhappy then it really doesn’t matter how much money you make.. A good job is therefore one where you can find a balance between money and happiness. Both are needed to feel successful in life. And a home-based job is one of the very few jobs which offer you both. Not because you work less, but because you can work around your own schedule. So, you can have more time for leisure, while still bringing in a good income. Not only that, the feeling of independence makes even your work hours enjoyable.
