Normally I use this piece to offer advice and information concerning business, but there has been a pressing situation occurring in Southern California. As I am sure you have heard, there are fires raging there from well north of Los Angeles all the way to the border in San Diego. These fires have consumed a lot of homes, but they have also consumed businesses. This prompted a conversation with a friend who owns a home business, and he told me it was for this reason that he purchases fire, flood, and earthquake insurance. That way, not only his home, but his livelihood is secure and protected. It is and absolute tragedy to see what is happening, but we could all use this lesson to make better decisions concerning our home based businesses.
