The Beige Book was issued today, and in case you don’t know what this is, it is a report that is issued by the Federal Reserve to examine the state of the economy and to forecast where it is heading. The report was not good and it showed some mixed results. Growth has not been sustained like it was last year, and there are some inflationary concerns. The report stopped short of stating the economy was headed for a recession, but it did predict a sluggish economy for a while.
